Take Pity and Buy the Bear a Drink

I'm throwing myself at the mercy of my readership. It's been ages since I've had a drink and, here in the frozen north, the prospects of getting some alcohol soon are somewhere between "no fucking way" and "zero degrees Kelvin". "When Hell freezes over" has already been reached and surpassed long ago.

So I am furnishing on the sidebar an easy way for you to provide me with some relief from my present condition. Simply choose an option below, and submit away. Multiple drinks are graciously accepted. I know the barman, so don't worry about the tip.

C'mon - get Nanuk loaded. I promise I won't drone on and on about my gout, nor will I try to slip my paw up your thigh.

I'm currently in the process of taste-testing the 4 beers from the Czech Reupublic available in the village off-licence.

I can't find your side-bar...did the bartender go on strike due to lack of tippage?

No - I've been screwing around with the html and I've got zero html skills. It should be working now.

Four Czech beers? Talk about rubbing salt into my already gaping wounds.

Czech beer? Is it made from beets?

Bear o' the Great White North, you need some gluewien with a shot of rum. A real treat on those cold German nights. They heat the wine up with some spices ala mulled wine and then add the optional shot of rum to make up for any alcohol that might have cooked off.

Even if you don't drink it, it feels good holding the hot cup.
